Changes to my study programme: Social Work

The changes would i do in Social Work in Universidad de Chile, are about the focus on the investigation, i think that is not the problem, but there is the importance about the work that it is expected of the students with formation in this university.  There is so important the investigation that i think is a little bit of discriminate respect the others universitys or education institutions. Because his formation is so much assistancialism, and that is so criticized. 

The assistancialism is a problem -for the vision of the Social Work of this University- because reproduce logics of Institutions that we would want to change because we see a problem with the operation.

And I think that ok, but the problem for me is the discrimination for other forms of Social Work. Because this separatisted logics make a disunion with the practice of Social Work, I think the better action we make to do is combine the knowledges and make a Social Work with a union of thought, opinions with a common horizont. That -I think- it would do a lot of good for the Social Work like a Profession. 

With this, to achieve a great social work that is concerned with social justice, against inequalities and with a rights-based approach for the people would need us like Social Workers in Chile.

My dream job

 My dream job would be work in which I study -Social Work- but in a different way. This job is always related to offices in different institutions, either in municipalities, schools, ministries or others. I don't think it's bad, but I really wouldn't like to work half of my life like this.  My ideal job would be to be able to make a community school, type after school, related to the care of young children and also older children, but I think it would be necessary to integrate them from a young age to generate a line of alternative education.  By this I mean giving them the possibility of learning things that schools do not teach, and that should be sought in other spaces different from education. Best Holidays

 The best holidays i have ever had were a few years ago, exactly in the summer of 2020, in pandemic. Because, with my boyfriend, we visited El Valle del Elqui, a beautiful place in the region of Coquimbo.  The Valle del Elqui, is a valley next to the mountains of Coquimbo. There are some rivers, mountains, cacti, animals.  We visited a camping in Paihuano, a commune of the Valle. There is a beautiful river, we slept and woke up with the sound of it,  because we put the tent next  to it, but it was fantastic.  We met the old house of Gabriela Mistral, with the real name, Lucila del Perpetuo Socorro Godoy Alcayala, the famous poet.
